The Tao of Tea, Pine Smoked Black Tea, Loose Leaf contains 100 percent Organic Black Tea Leaves. Very smoky, smooth and uplifting taste. Meaning Zheng mountain small tea variety, a name that was changed to Lapsang Souchong in the earlier part of the 19th century. During that time, many black and oolong teas had a characteristic woody, smoked flavor due to the use of wood-fired woks. Later, at the request of English merchants this smoking process was performed intentionally. Tea purists seek only the clean, clear and pure flavor of the leaf. This is because the unadulterated leaf has the capacity to provide an experience which has inspired many artists, musicians, philosophers and monks. Our company is based on this premise and offers great quality leaf that is fresh, flavorful and full of soul.
